Fortunately, we also had Attorney General Josh Shapiro standing tall, as a handful of Republican Pennsylvania congressmen joined in this seditious act. As expected, the US Supreme Court didn’t want anything to do with this ludicrous and dangerous scheme to overturn the 2020 US election, that ended up being supported by 18 attorney generals and 126 congressmen!
What has the GOP become? More focused on this malarkey than passing critical legislation to support families facing a food crisis and homelessness. Remember their names at election time.
The hypocritical part is that they were fine with ALL the votes except the ones for President. After being laughed-out of courts, at all levels, representatives from some states even began talk of seceding from the union. Sound familiar? No wonder there have been so many comparisons to 1860 and roots of the American Civil War.
U.S. Supreme Court rejects GOP congressman’s last-minute effort to upend Pennsylvania’s election results
Jeremy Roebuck – The Philadelphia Inquirer – December 8, 2020
The justices issued their decision, without comment, in a terse, two-line order dismissing the matter raised by Rep. Mike Kelly, the Butler County Republican who had argued that millions of votes in the state had been unconstitutionally cast by mail.
“This isn’t a pick your own ending novel. This is democracy,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in a statement. “We should not allow this circus to continue.”
Unlike in a previous Pennsylvania election dispute the justices considered this year, this time none of them publicly dissented in rebuffing the congressman’s arguments. Paxton’s brief — riddled with factual errors and questionable legal arguments — was quickly panned by election-law experts from both sides of the partisan divide as “a publicity stunt masquerading as a lawsuit.”
This ‘temporary insanity’ has been bolstered by a lameduck President, who many rightfully say is trying to stage a coup, even though he clearly lost the election in a landslide of 306 electoral votes and more than 7-million popular votes. Election results have been certified by all 50 states. Even more shocking than his senseless denial of being the loser, are the actions of so many enablers in the new ‘ReTrumplican party.’
As charged by Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey, these men shouldn’t be sworn in for the next session of Congress, since they violated the U.S. Constitution and attempted to “demolish democracy” by backing the current President’s effort to overturn the November election.
Citing 14th Amendment, Pascrell Says These GOP House Members Shouldn’t Even Be Sworn In
Jessica Corbett – Common Dreams – December 11, 2020
“The text of the 14th Amendment expressly forbids members of Congress from engaging in rebellion against the United States. Trying to overturn a democratic election and install a dictator seems like a pretty clear example of that.” In a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), chair of the Committee on House Administration, the New Jersey congressman specifically condemned the more than 100 House Republicans who are supporting a lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that aims to block the four key battleground states of Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—all of which Biden won—from voting in the Electoral College.
“Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was written after the Civil War to bar from government any traitors who would seek to destroy the Union. My letter to House leadership today demands that 126 Republicans (and counting) are violating the Constitution.” Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr.
The Republican party, as it was once known and respected for traditional conservative values, has now been lost to the reckless agenda of these confederates. It’s clear to see they do not believe in “law and order” as claimed during their campaigns, nor Constitutional law. They would prefer to tear our nation apart by refusing to follow long standing traditions and procedures, even though their candidate has clearly lost, big time!
It’s especially hypocritical since the election favored most of the Republican candidates in state houses across our nation, as well as row offices in Pennsylvania. So while they are fine with the votes that mostly favored their candidates, they wish to overturn the landslide of votes against their presidential candidate, who will be leaving office in 38 days.

UPDATE:
Sen. Josh Hawley becomes a pariah on Capitol Hill
WASHINGTON — One of his most important early backers now says supporting him “was the worst mistake I ever made in my life,” and a top donor called for him to be censured by the Senate. Hawley said he specifically objected to Pennsylvania’s electors because he believed a 2019 law expanding mail-in voting there violated the state constitution. Yet, as Sens. Bob Casey, D-Pa., and Pat Toomey, R-Pa., said in defending the state’s election, such constitutional objections to the law — which was passed by a Republican-controlled legislature — only came about after Trump lost.
