Big Ben’s Last Hurrah

Monday Night Football at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh vs the Cleveland Browns was the perfect stage for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s final home game!

The weather was ‘Pittsburgh January’ clear and cold, with temperatures hovering in the low 20’s.
The Steelers defense was hot, recording 9 sacks of Baker Mayfield, 4 of those at the hands of T.J. Watt.
The Steelers offense sprung Najee Harris loose for 188 yards rushing. It was all hands on deck, playing with “passion and energy” as Coach Mike Tomlin said leading up to the game.
The crowd stuck around after the game to salute Big Ben, who made a partial lap around the stadium to high 5 with fans. It was a special moment, capping his 18 year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Since buying a better camera in 2009 with a 300mm lens, I’ve frequently photographed Steelers training camps at Saint Vincent college in Latrobe. Linked below is a YouTube video featuring over 180 photos of the ‘Big Ben era’ along with the soundtrack from his postgame Press conference.

GO STEELERS!
