Due to all the oil and gas drilling violations in Pennsylvania, someone once said, “If they’re drilling they’re spilling.” This latest report from the former head of the Pennsylvania DEP, David E. Hess, brings us up to date:

16 Oil & Gas Facility Spill, Soil, Water Contamination Cleanups Under Act 2 Land Recycling Program During July

July 29, 2022

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of these 16 oil and gas facility spill, soil and water contamination cleanup final reports and intents to remediate under the Act 2 Land Recycling Program in the PA Bulletin during July.

The final reports demonstrate how the responsible party met one or more of the cleanup standards under the Land Recycling Program.
