By Kelly Pickerel | Solar Power World | November 24, 2025 – Sandhills Energy and the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) are celebrating the completion of two solar projects within a 16-project community solar portfolio. The two projects in Delta and Fort Morgan, Colorado, are within MEAN’s supply region of 60 communities in Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska and Wyoming.
The new 875-kW facility in Delta will offset a portion of the city’s peak electricity demand and diversify the city’s power portfolio. The array will increase grid resilience and offer cost stability for residents and local businesses.
