In a nondescript warehouse in Ozark, a New York-based publicly traded company is basing its next big move. Worksport Ltd., a Nasdaq-traded company known for making truck bed covers, started leasing a makeshift factory in Ozark in summer 2025, and the business is planning its next wave of growth from the Springfield region. That wave of growth is expected to come from one product, which is exclusively made in the Ozark factory.

The SOLIS is a truck-mounted folding solar array, the first of its kind, Chief Operating Officer Christopher Bernaudo said. Think a fully functioning, foldable solar panel mounted right on the bed of a pickup truck that also acts as a cover. Customers can combine the SOLIS with a battery system, like Worksport’s COR, to make a portable nano-grid. Users can charge batteries as they go about their day and use that power anywhere, like a jobsite or campsite.
