Welcome to BOBscaping!

Why's the middle brown?

Ornamental grasses are usually ‘tougher than nails’ (..and equally hard to divide into transplants).

So in this new BOBscaping video "WHY: Ornamental grass brown in the middle" we take a fresh look at one of my favorite ornamental grasses.

It’s not uncommon for grass clumps like this to dieback in the middle, but this one seems to have excess brown this season.

Was it cutback too soon?

Was it caused by the long, brutal winter weather?

Or was it just a natural tendency in the growth cycle?

After watching this short video you can come up with your own conclusions.
